Guidelines for Registration with the Meghalaya Employment Exchanges
- All Indian citizens who have attained the age of 14 years and who normally have been residing in Meghalaya for a period of not less than 1 (one) year are eligible to register their name with the Employment Exchanges in the State.
- A candidate who wishes to register for Employment Assistance / Training / Services may visit dectmeg.nic.in for online registration or they may visit in person at the local Employment Exchange in the area where he/she normally resides.
- Once a candidate has registered online and completes the required fields, he/she will be issued with a Temporary Registration number which is automatically generated by the system.
- The candidate is then given 30 days' time within which he/she is required to visit the Local Employment Exchange for verification of his/her credentials/certificates & documents (in Original).
- Candidates whose documents and certificates are found in order will be issued with the Employment Exchange I.D. Card X-10.
- The registration is valid for a period of 3 years, and the candidate may renew his/her registration 2 months before the date of renewal or into 3 months after the expiry of registration online or in person.
- The following documents (in original) are required to be produced at the Local Employment Exchange for Completing the Registration Process:
- School Certificate/Matric Certificate/Birth Certificate for proof of the Date of Birth.
- Certificate(s) for proof of Qualification.
- Caste/Tribe certificate in case of S.C./S.T./O.B.C. candidate.
- In case of Ex-Servicemen, Certificate from Competent Authority.
- In case of P.W.D. (Person With Disability) candidate - Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority.
- In case of non-local Permanent Residents - A Permanent Resident Certificate (P.R.C.) issued by Competent Authority and E.P.I.C (if over 18 years) / Local Headman Certificate are required to be produced.
- Temporary Residents are required to produce the Residence Certificate from the Local Headman and Dependent Certificate (if a minor)/E.P.I.C of the state where he originates (if over 18 years).
